It’s a match made in heaven. Hermes and Spruce Meadows. Does it get any better? The French luxury retailer started in 1837 Paris as a harness and saddle workshop. And its presence in the equestrian world has been felt ever since. Hermes equestrian clothing and equipment are among the best in the world. It’s handmade saddles are coveted- perhaps even more than its iconic Birkin bag.
For the first time, Hermes sponsored the Spruce Meadows Masters Tournament held last weekend. And in another first, Hermes has sponsored a Canadian rider-the handsome Ben Asselin, a rising star in the show-jumping world with a pedigree to rival Hermes. His grandparents-Ron and Marg Southern, built Spruce Meadows and his father, Jonathan Asselin, is a Canadian Olympian show-jumper.
